Audacity and concept
It all began with a military mask dating back to the second World War that was found in the glaciers of the Dolomites. Eric Balzan and Mirko Forti, the founders, got inspired by the mix of metal and fabric and started creating their own collection.

In 1995, seduced by the beauty and the sensual feel of precious woods Maurice Léonard starts the fascinating adventure of a small ten people company making wooden glasses. The workshop is based in Luxembourg where they not only use wood but silk also.
Mykita’s inspiration
According to the legend, Mykita was started in a garage in East Berlin by two design students.
Berlin was a fertile place for young talented people who wanted to start a business in an open and creative market.
Philipp and Harald Gottschling, started thinking about glasses when they were still studying. They participated in several design competition and that is then, they realised they could do fantastic things.
